Just Americans by Robert Asahino which details the accomplishments of the 100th battalion/ 442nd regimental combat team during WWII. The unit was made up of primarily Nissei americans of Japanese ancestry and fought throughout Italy, France, and Germany. This unit was the most decorated unit of the war accounting for 21 medals of honor, 52 distinguished service crosses (19 were upgraded to medal of honor), 9,486 purple hearts, 559 silver stars with 28 oak leaf clusters, 8 presidential unit citations, 4000 bronze stars with 1200 oak leaf clusters, and others.
