While brook trout fishing on the Strawberry river in Utah and while catching beautiful native brookies , a bear (a big one) came into the water not far from my location. I was alone...I scrambled up an embankement, falling and getting a deep gash in my hand. Still have the scar as a reminder.

A member of our local chapter of the Federation of Fly fishers has the greatest luck. He's been known to do a backcast letting the fly drop behind him while he adjusted his wader belt.low and behold a fish grabs his fly as he is totally not paying attention! Has happened to him more than once.

I am an adjunct at St. Bonaventure University where I teach Voice/Performance. I retired from a career of 39 years in Broadcast news.
