Hi. I have been building bamboo fly rods since 1958. Worked at Orvis in early 60's part time. Wes put me to work when I would visit him. Loved the smell of the old rod shop in Manchester Center. I have owned in the past the Hawes rod shop and Payne rod shop in the 1970's and early 1980's. Love building equipment and playing with tapers. We have a camp on the West Branch of the Ausable river in Jay, New York. We spend most of the summer and fall up there. We also fish for Bonefish in the Grand Cayman Islands and Florida Keys. A friend ownes an estate on Summerland Key. We fish the back side of Little Pine Key.
