If you're looking at MSU vs Helena, go to Bozeman...you'll love all the things to do in and near Bozeman way more than Helena...IMHO!  Good luck whatever you decide though.

Those are some great places to live, especially if you are a fly fisherman. My father and I recenty traveled to Ennis, MT and had the best night of fly fishing ever. I caught 4 browns and 3 bows over 16in. Have you ever been there? I know that if I had a choice, that is where I would want to live.

Yes, Ennis is a great place, small town but the Mady between Varney and town are waters I have fished for what seems like ever, some of my best eats off the top come just at sunset in july, toss a HUGE rubber leg dry anything out in the riffles and youre getting eats every time. In fact, I was JUST there for the last week with my buddy who guides for Hyde, he runs that river about 35 times as a guide and we roll it another 20 or so just for us. So sure, i've been there a time or two.

I have been to bozeman last summer and I checked out the campus because my father was doing a drug enforcement program at the college. It looked good but I still want to see the University of mantana at Helena. Ever seen it? I'll be going to college in 4 years and I hope I can pick a good place to feed my fly fishing addiction. We had a great trip though, with 20+ fish days on the madison in Ennis. I would live there any day. Have you ever been up towards the Flathead valley? I'll be going there some day when I get out of the East.

The UM-Helena is a vo-tech a few of the people I work with did attend but I have not been there   MSU is a great school and Bozeman is very nice I still spend a lot of time there You have so many places so close it is amazing  Within an hour and a half you can drive to almost every blue ribbon stream in the state  I haven't spent too much time in the Flathead but what I have seen is nice  I'm going to try to spend more time in that area this summer
