Recently in the summer of 2006, my father and I visited Montana in search of trout. Boy did we get trout! When not having much sucess on the firehole the first day, we smacked the fish the second day with elk hair emergers and copper john droppers. We visited the upper Toccoa River DH which has alot of nice fish, we got to the river around 8pm. Sunday morning,the river was up alittle because of all the rain we've been recieving but the fishing was fantastic! The morning was very cold with the air temp being right at 38 degrees and the water right at 42 degrees which made the guides ice up...... after the sun come up over the tree's it warmed up to 65 degrees for the day time temp.
